Position Summary:

As front-line representatives of Omaha Performing Arts, the Guest Services team provides exceptional customer service and ensures every patron has a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience while attending events at Steelhouse Omaha. The Guest Services team performs a variety of duties while adhering to O-pa Core Values of Collaboration, Inclusion, Trust, and Integrity.


Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates walkthrough magnetometers, inspects any bags entering the facility, and ensures prohibited items do not make it inside the facility
  • Scans several different ticket types and directs any guests with ticketing issues to the management team OR a box office representative
  • Promotes upgraded experience opportunities to guests as they enter the facility
  • Helps patrons navigate the building by being familiar with key locations within the facility
  • Performs ID checks and wristband patrons wanting to purchase alcohol.
  • Monitors exit doors to prevent reentry and alcoholic beverages from leaving the venue
  • Works with other departments on closing procedures to ensure the building is clean, orderly and ready for the next event.
  • Attends any required development/training sessions.
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must have internet access for digital performance sign-up as well as a valid email account for digital correspondence
  • Must work well in a fast-paced team environment, while maintaining a degree of composure and professionalism.
  • Highly effective oral communication skills with a variety of patrons
  • Comfortable working for both indoor and outdoor venues.
  • Able to assist with large crowds safely and effectively
  • Must be at least 17 years of age

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Requires acute hearing when providing patron service and advising of time constraints
  • Must be able to work in a loud and noisy environment
  • May be required to lift up to 10 pounds
