Experience

  • Experience as RN (NP) in a Primary Health Care setting preferred.
  • One year experience in community needs assessment/development/health promotion

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP))

Other Education and Training

  • Certification in recognized Primary Care NP equivalent program is acceptable
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
  • Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as an RN (NP) or RN (GNP)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge of population health approach to health promotion/prevention
  • Demonstrates knowledge in community development/assessment.
