About the Role

<div>We are looking for a <strong>Backend Developer</strong> to design, build, and maintain the server-side logic of our applications. You will be responsible for ensuring high performance, scalability, and security of the back-end services, while integrating with front-end and third-party systems. This role involves problem-solving, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and delivering reliable APIs and data pipelines.</div><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><div><br></div><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain back-end services, APIs, and databases.</li><li>Build scalable systems that handle high volumes of requests and data.</li><li>Implement security and data protection best practices.</li><li>Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.</li><li>Work closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements.</li><li>Manage database schemas, queries, and migrations (SQL and/or NoSQL).</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.</li><li>Contribute to code reviews, system architecture, and technical documentation.</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><div><br></div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.</li><li>Proven experience as a Backend Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role.</li><li>Proficiency in at least one back-end language and framework: <strong>Node.js/Express, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), Java (Spring Boot), or Ruby on Rails.</strong></li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>databases</strong> (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).</li><li>Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>cloud platforms</strong> (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and security principles.</li><li>Experience with version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.</li></ul><div><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: -apple-system, ">* By applying to this position, we’ll create your Simera Professional Key (SPK) — a unique key that helps you connect with employers, stand out, and secure the right match.</span></div>
