Valmet’s Automation business line is seeking a Solution Manager for Mill Wide Optimization solutions within the Analyzers, Measurements, and Performance Solutions (AMP) business unit. AMP holds global business responsibility for analyzers, measurements, and performance solution systems, primarily serving pulp and paper customers.
In this role, your daily responsibilities will include:
Driving business growth through effective commercial product management of selected products.
Providing professional sales support, crafting winning value propositions, and setting performance guarantees for sales cases.
Collaborating closely with product management and global sales teams to enhance our competitive edge.
Supporting and developing business opportunities and engaging in business planning with sales regions to foster growth.
Participating in customer meetings during the sales phase.
Leading the creation of marketing materials in cooperation with our Automation marketing team.
We’re looking for a results-driven professional with:
Solid knowledge of kraft pulp making process, paper making experience as plus
Experience in international business development with a proven ability to drive results in a matrix organization
A continuous learning mindset and proficiency in data analytics
Familiarity with Valmet automation solutions is an advantage
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and/or experience in sales and negotiation situations
Degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant field (M.Sc., B.Sc. or PhD)
Proactive, self-directed, and collaborative working style
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English (written and oral); other languages are a plus
Willingness to travel internationally (~60 days/year)
Comfort working in a fast-paced, global environment
