Assistant Computer Officer
Hong Kong Internet eXchange (HKIX) is a self-financed unit of the University. Its main business is to provide interconnecting services to different networks on the Internet. HKIX is looking for a suitable candidate to join the HKIX Team to develop, implement, operate and support its information security programmes. The appointee will be responsible for (a) administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of HKIX security systems; (b) developing and implementing information security systems; (c) handling information security incidents; (d) preparing security guidelines, procedures and policies; (e) liaising and co-ordinating with vendors and suppliers; and (f) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent disciplines; (ii) at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in information security services or related fields; (iii) practical experience in dealing with information security incidents, security vulnerabilities and threat detection systems; (iv) proven knowledge and work experience in cybersecurity technologies including Firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, MDM, IAM, MFA, DLP, DRP, Vulnerability scanning and Penetration Testing; (v) familiarity with network monitoring tools, traffic analysis, TCP/IP protocols, Internet routing, ITIL concepts and project management; (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and (vii) excellent organisational, communication, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work independently to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision. Possession of CISSP, CISP, CISA, CISM or equivalent certificates is preferred.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
