Project Assistant II
Shaw College is an energetic college with an aspiration to nurture ‘Excellence with a Soul, and Leadership with a Heart’ of students. The College is currently looking for an enthusiastic and devoted person to join the team dedicated to the whole-person development of students.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) organising student development programmes; (b) helping with the implementation of large-scale College and student-led events and functions; (c) communicating with student societies; (d) providing support to canteen management and delegation visits; and (e) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education, preferably with post-secondary qualification(s); (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English word-processing skill; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (v) the ability to work as a good team player and attentiveness to details; (vi) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and (vii) competence in IT applications (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and other Windows applications). Having knowledge of graphic design or short video production, and at least 2 years’ relevant work experience will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Applicants must submit copies of HKCEE/HKDSE certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and/or academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
