Executive Officer II (carrying the job title of ‘Manager/Assistant Manager (Creative)’) 
We are seeking a highly-organised and facilitative Creative Manager to ensure the operational excellence of our in-house creative design unit. This role is the operational engine for our creative team, responsible for managing workflow, resources, and stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality visual assets that meet the University's strategic objectives.
 

The appointee will be responsible for (a) Project Management: manage the end-to-end workflow for creative projects and track multiple concurrent projects from concept to delivery. Develop project plans, set timelines, and allocate tasks to ensure on-time completion of deliverables including publications, event materials, social media assets, marketing collateral, web interfaces and other creative assets; (b) Stakeholder Facilitation: communicate with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clear creative briefs, manage expectations, and ensure alignment between creative execution and project objectives to synthesize feedback into actionable next steps; (c) Process Optimisation: streamline creative workflows and implement project management best practices. Identify opportunities to enhance team efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of creative quality; (d) Foster Creativity: provide moodboards and up-to-date industry inspiration facilitate creative brainstorming and provide constructive feedback to elevate creative products; (e) Quality Assurance: uphold brand consistency and visual excellence across creative deliverables through rigorous review processes. Operate a centralised repository of visual assets and templates, ensuring usability and version control; and (f) Special Projects: undertake any other assigned special projects as required. 
 

Applicants should be/have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communications, Business Management, Project Management, or a related field; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 4 to 7 years of progressive executive experience in a creative environment, with proven experience managing creative projects and multiple stakeholders; (iv) exceptional project management and organisational skills, with proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira) and software for creative production; (v) strong knowledge of design-thinking and project management methodologies, including agile/scrum principles; (vi) proven creative problem-solving and visual thinking skills with a keen eye for design; (vii) exceptional coordination, collaboration, and time management abilities; (viii) excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills to effectively collaborate with photographers, designers, and cross-functional teams; (ix) experience presenting design work to clients and stakeholder groups; (x) the ability to navigate fast-paced creative environments and build strong relationships with diverse teams; and (xi) fluency in both English and Chinese is necessary.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
