This is a highly impactful role that blends platform strategy, AI product leadership, engineering velocity, and GM-level ownership.</p> <p>You’ll be responsible for the architecture, reliability, performance, and evolution of ROLLER’s core platform capabilities (APIs, authentication, logging/observability, performance, payments infrastructure, automations) while also driving our strategy for production-grade AI systems.</p> <p>This means going beyond high-level AI concepts. You’ll be accountable for the safe, reliable, measurable deployment of AI in production: data pipelines, model selection (RAG vs fine-tune), eval frameworks, guardrails, monitoring, incident response, and post-launch learning.</p> <p>You’ll act as a GM for this portfolio, owning both financial outcomes and customer success metrics, ensuring the platform accelerates engineering teams, scales with our growth, and enables innovation across the company.</p> <p>You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, SRE, PMM, and GTM teams to ensure ROLLER’s platform is robust, developer-friendly, and strategically differentiated.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>What You'll Do</h2> <p><strong>GM-Level Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own the commercial, operational, and customer outcomes for the Platform &amp; AI portfolio.</li> <li>Make strategic investment decisions across reliability, performance, AI innovation, technical debt, and internal tooling.</li> <li>Shape platform-powered value propositions with Marketing and GTM, including pricing and packaging where relevant.</li> <li>Drive cross-functional alignment on launches, partner integration strategy, and internal enablement.</li> <li>Manage PMs and provide dotted-line leadership for UX, Tech Leads, Data Analysts, SRE, and LXD teams.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>AI &amp; Platform Vision</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define a multi-year Platform &amp; AI vision, ensuring the foundations are scalable, performant, secure, observable, and easy for teams to build on.</li> <li>Lead ROLLER’s AI product strategy, from model selection to guardrails, monitoring, evals, and safe rollout practices.</li> <li>Tie AI investments directly to measurable customer problems and KPIs, not novelty or hype.</li> <li>Balance innovation, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Stakeholder Collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as the central point of alignment for platform and AI initiatives.</li> <li>Partner closely with Engineering to develop high-leverage platform abstractions, guardrails, and infrastructure improvements.</li> <li>Work across GTM, CS, Sales, and Marketing to ensure platform and AI capabilities are understood, positioned, and supported.</li> <li>Maintain a tight feedback loop with internal “customer” teams to understand friction points and prioritise the highest-leverage improvements.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Execution &amp; Delivery</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with Engineering to deliver robust, observable, reliable, and performant platform capabilities.</li> <li>Drive the safe rollout of AI systems: canaries, evals, fallbacks, regression tests, and incident runbooks.</li> <li>Champion experimentation, measurement, and data-led decision-making.</li> <li>Improve engineering velocity through platform capabilities, tooling, CI/CD improvements, abstractions, and paved paths.</li> <li>Maintain pace and urgency without compromising reliability or customer trust.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Customer &amp; Market Insight</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be the voice of the internal and external customer for the platform.</li> <li>Understand emerging AI technologies, platform patterns, and developer experience best practices, and translate them into strategic advantage.</li> <li>Use qualitative and quantitative insights to evolve platform and AI capabilities to meet customer needs and keep ROLLER ahead of competitors.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>About You</h2> <ul> <li>You’ve shipped AI/ML systems into production—including model selection, data pipelines, evals, guardrails, monitoring, and incident response.</li> <li>You bring strong platform product expertise, with experience across APIs, authentication, logging/observability, performance, reliability, and developer experience.</li> <li>You have a track record of improving engineering velocity through data, tooling, CI/CD, and platform abstractions.</li> <li>You’re an experienced people leader, able to coach PMs and align cross-functional teams in high-growth SaaS environments.</li> <li>You combine technical fluency with sharp commercial judgement and a strong bias for fast, safe, high-quality execution.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>Perks!</h2> <p style="padding-left: 40px;">🚀 You'll get to work on a category-leading product that customers love in a fun, high-growth industry!
