Job Description

Overall Purpose of the Role:
As the Finance Process Solution Expert – eMobility, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of billing and accounting processes within the fast-evolving electric mobility sector at KOSTAL Group. Serving as the key link between Finance, Tax, Accounting, Legal, and IT teams, you will ensure that business, regulatory, and industry requirements are seamlessly translated into robust, automated, and compliant processes. You will help drive the adoption of innovative Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and EV charging payment solutions, enabling scalable growth and ensuring financial integrity across our global operations.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and define business and functional requirements from Accounting, Tax, and Legal teams for the billing and accounting of vaylens products.
  • Conceptualize accounting frameworks for new SaaS and EV charging payment solutions, championing their international deployment.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Tax, Accounting, Legal, and IT to ensure alignment and effective process integration.
  • Stay ahead of new eMobility-specific and accounting regulations, translating them into actionable and practical requirements.
  • Take ownership of Billing & Accounting processes, driving continuous improvement, automation, and best practice implementation.
  • Develop and maintain clear specifications for SAP ERP, Nitrobox, and Salesforce Billing system integrations.
  • Create and update comprehensive documentation to support audits and ensure process transparency (e.g., IDW PS 880 compliance).
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support development and quality assurance teams by clarifying financial process requirements and validating final solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert support during period-end closes and in reconciling revenue deferrals, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Represent and explain Accounting & Tax processes to customers, resellers, and auditors, ensuring smooth collaboration and transparency.

    Qualifications

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting, billing, invoicing, or related functions
    • Proficiency with SAP ERP (FI/CO modules)
    • Advanced skills in MS Excel
    • Experience using BI and reporting tools
    • Fluency in English (German fluency strongly preferred)

    Professional Skills

    • In-depth understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/HGB) and billing processes
    • Solid experience with tax and legal requirements for digital business models, such as SaaS and payment solutions
    • Familiarity with ERP and billing systems (e.g., SAP ERP, CRM platforms)
    • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, deferrals, and financial closing procedures
    • Knowledge of compliance and audit standards (e.g., IDW PS 880 or similar frameworks)
    • Awareness of eMobility industry specifics and international regulatory environments

    Methodological & Technical Competencies

    • Ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical and process specifications
    • Skilled in process design, optimization, and automation
    • Competence in project management and cross-functional coordination
    • Experienced in facilitating workshops, conducting requirements engineering, and managing stakeholders
    • Strong analytical, documentation, and data analysis abilities
