Job Description

We’re looking for a Junior Operational Support Team (OST) Consultant to join our Defined Benefits team.     What you'll be doing:

    • Providing efficient administration and claims support to scheme members and stakeholders
    • Calculating Defined Benefit quotations and ensuring documentation accuracy
    • Supporting manual calculations for new and existing schemes
    • Communicating clearly with customers and third parties to ensure understanding
    • Applying current pensions legislation and best practice in all tasks
    • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
    • Acting as a point of contact for technical queries and supporting team knowledge
    • Promoting good customer outcomes and supporting vulnerable customers

    Qualifications

    Who we're looking for:

    • Understanding of Defined Benefit pension schemes and related legislation
    • Experience in customer service or administration, ideally within financial services
    • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • A collaborative approach and willingness to support team development
    • A proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
    • Pension qualifications (e.g. CII or PMI) or equivalent experience is desirable
