Legal Counsel

At ONE ZERO, Israel’s first fully digital bank, we’re building the technology that powers a new era of intuitive, transparent, people-first banking. As part of our Legal Department, you’ll provide end-to-end legal support for our Retail Division- helping shape the products, policies, and processes that define the customer experience in a fully digital banking environment.

Your Day-to-Day

• Providing ongoing legal support to the Retail Division of a digital bank.
• Delivering legal opinions on matters concerning private customers and a variety of banking products (including accounts, deposits, payment cards, loans, credit facilities, securities, and more).
• Handling a wide range of internal legal proceedings and managing external law firms in connection with class action motions.
• Drafting responses to customer inquiries, preparing generic bank–customer documents, policy documents and procedures, and conducting ongoing training for professional teams.
• Leading the review and coordination of draft banking regulations, assessing their impact on the bank in collaboration with business stakeholders, and preparing position papers.
• Drafting and reviewing agreements, onboarding documents, disclosure forms, and various legal documents with suppliers and customers.
• Working closely with all bank divisions, particularly the Retail Division, Risk Management, and Compliance.

Requirements

• Valid Israeli attorney license.
• At least 5 years of experience advising a retail banking division, either as in-house counsel in a bank or as an attorney in a leading law firm in the banking & finance department.
• Litigation experience.
• Knowledge and experience in banking regulation.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Ability to provide professional and timely legal support to multiple business units with diverse interfaces.
• Strong business orientation combined with deep legal understanding.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with both junior and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to combine classic legal work with innovation-driven and digital banking processes.
