Regulatory and Commercial Analyst - Wellington Electricity

<ul><li> <strong>Generous total remuneration package</strong></li><li> <strong>Immediate start</strong></li><li> <strong>Purpose driven culture</strong></li></ul><p>We are looking for a commercially minded analyst with strong financial modelling capability to join our high-performing Commercial &amp; Regulatory team.</p><p>This role sits at the intersection of finance, regulation, and strategy, helping us optimise its regulatory performance while ensuring the business meets key reporting and compliance responsibilities. It’s a unique opportunity to work inside one of Aotearoa’s most trusted lines companies at a time of growth, industry change, and major investment.</p><p><strong>In this role, you’ll work across:</strong></p><ul><li>Regulatory reporting: supporting finance and pricing compliance activities, including information disclosures and ad-hoc requests from regulators</li><li>Regulatory performance: operating and improving financial models, analysing key inputs, and helping identify opportunities to enhance our regulatory outcomes</li><li>Strategic pricing: contributing to the Pricing Roadmap through analysis, modelling, and reviewing regulatory consultations</li><li>Financial modelling: evaluating investment opportunities, supporting due diligence, and maintaining our core revenue model</li><li>Submissions &amp; commercial insight: assisting in preparing responses to regulatory proposals and contributing commercial analysis across the business</li></ul><p>This is a role where your analytical capability genuinely matters, your insights will influence pricing, shape submissions, support investment decisions, and contribute to how we navigate the regulatory landscape.</p><p><strong>Who we’re looking for:</strong></p><ul><li>Someone with strong financial modelling and analytical capability</li><li>Experience from energy, utilities, infrastructure, aviation, water, or similar regulated environments</li><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or related</li><li>Ideally CA or equivalent, and comfortable working with complex regulatory and financial information</li><li>Previous experience in policy, regulatory, or economic roles, ideally in the electricity, energy or infrastructure sectors where regulation is a core focus of the business.</li><li>Curious, collaborative, detail-driven, and eager to dive into regulatory frameworks</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work with Us?</strong> <br>We are in the middle of one of the most energising organisational transformation, in respect to building further resilience in our growing network.
