Job Description

The Customer Solution Architect challenge in a few words:

In the role of Solution Architect, you are responsible for managing the process to devise a multidisciplinary system architecture of high-quality software, hardware, controls, and system integration. mechanical and mechatronic modules and systems. In addition, you collaborate with sales to define the value proposition and sales strategy for the offering. You work closely with customers from first contact to final delivery, defining the right technical solution and ensuring it is successfully engineered, integrated, and commissioned. 

Your contribution in this role:

  • Lead the full architecture of high-complexity SPM or automated test machines, including mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software. 
  • Engage with customers from the first discussion, understand challenges, and propose the most value-driven machine concept. 
  • Prepare technical proposals, architecture documents, and costed solutions. 
  • You follow up until the machine is assembled and delivered to the satisfaction of our customer 
  • You have 'business sense', which enables you to offer our customers the optimal solution. In short, you know how to bind the people, both inside and outside the organization 
  • After being the lead in the creative technical process, you create and manage the sales proposal for the customer supported by our sales support staff.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:
Experience and degree:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in system design for SPM, automation, or mechatronic systems. 
  • Strong understanding of both software and hardware architecture, including controls, motion systems, and system integration. 
  • Proficient in system modeling, architecture diagrams, and system design frameworks. 
  • Communication & Visualization: Strong ability to communicate complex concepts using PowerPoint, diagrams, and visual storytelling tools. 
  • Experience in preparing technical proposals and commercial offers, including cost estimation and value-based solution positioning. 
  • You are communicative and commercially strong in customer relations and building a network. Able to speak other languages will be an added advantage. 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to positively influence others to achieve results of the projects.  
  • Able to work under stress environment and decision-making capability. 
  • Willing to travel as instructed.
