Description

As Talent Management Consultant, leads talent assessment conversations with department leaders across campus to assess employee talent; assigns employees in the 9-box model of performance vs. potential. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with leaders to prepare development strategies for each employee.
  • Develops structures and processes to help leaders identify high potential talent throughout Emory, including technology and leader recommendations.
  • Leads department/division teams in the creation of competency models for all positions that include current and future development needs, beyond core competencies of the University; manages competency validation projects to ensure job relevancy and extensibility.
  • Designs and manages the creation of position profiles for departments and divisions that leads to career paths from within a division and across schools/divisions; ensures the career paths are appropriately reflected in the Emory Talent Management System.
  • Maintains and updates profiles on an annual basis, or earlier as needed.
  • Aligns training opportunities with competencies and ensures the Talent Management system is updated on a regular basis.
  • Provides back-up technical support and customer service for the Talent Management system, as needed.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field and three years of experience in organizational effectiveness, training and development or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A master's degree is preferred.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
