Overview
AUSTIN, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A warm, first-time parent family in the Mueller neighborhood of Austin, TX is seeking a highly experienced, safety-focused infant nanny for a temporary full-time position running from January 5 through May 29, 2026. Their daughter will be approximately 4 months old at the start of the role and nearly 9 months old by its end. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with consistent hours each week. The nanny will remain in the home throughout the day with the exception of walks with the baby within the neighborhood. Responsibilities include following the parents’ structured feeding and nap routine, soothing and supervising the baby during wake windows, supporting early developmental play, preparing and sanitizing bottles, safely introducing solids when appropriate, managing light tidying after meals and playtime, and doing occasional laundry for the baby. The family values frequent communication and requests that the nanny proactively send several photos throughout the day, while also being comfortable with occasional check-ins.
The ideal candidate is deeply attentive, patient, non-smoker who is highly vigilant when it comes to infant safety. Up-to-date TDap, flu, COVID, MMR, and Varicella vaccinations are required, along with current infant CPR, choking protocol, and first-aid training. Hygiene awareness is essential, as is comfort with dogs—the household has two small pets who will need to be let out into the fenced yard (with supervision), have their bowls refilled, and be kept safely separated from the baby as needed. Because the family is thoughtful and intentional about parenting, they seek someone who will respect their guidelines around no screens, consistent routines, and careful supervision. A bilingual English/Spanish nanny is preferred, and strong infant experience is non-negotiable.
This role is perfect for a warm, confident, and extremely safety-minded caregiver who thrives in structured environments and wants to support a loving family during an important developmental stage. The position pays $30–$35/hr via payroll and offers a predictable weekday schedule with a family who values professionalism, communication, and trust.
