The Group Treasury team at CBA supports the business and customers by providing a strong and resilient balance sheet. The team works closely with stakeholders across the Group, to provide expertise and insights on balance sheet management.

We are seeking a Senior Manager for Group Stress Testing in the Balance Sheet, Efficiency & Resilience Team.
In this role, you will manage a team of analysts to apply advanced analytics to project the Group’s balance sheet and financial performance across a range of scenarios. Your work will provide critical insights and assurance on the Group’s resilience during periods of uncertainty.
As a Senior Manager, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of financial and risk models to assess profitability, capital and credit impacts under various stress scenarios.
- Prepare high-quality presentations and reports to communicate key insights and model outcomes to senior leadership.
- Work with and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the Group, including Finance and Risk Management.
- Manage and mentor a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Support Group Treasury in managing the Group’s balance sheet, including capital.
- Contribute to regulatory stress testing exercises and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in stress testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
- Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics or similar quantitative discipline.
- Proficiency in data management and programming skills such as SQL, R, Python and SAS.
- Experience credit risk modelling (Internal Ratings Based or IFRS9) and/or financial modelling is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the Australian prudential regulatory environment, including relevant APS prudential standards.
- Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure and within tight timeframes.
- Ability to interact with a large and varied stakeholder group. Ability to develop and manage sustained relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
