Job Summary

As a Mobile Pet Groomer at Furry Land Madison, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to making grooming a positive experience for pets and their families. With state-of-the-art grooming vans and a loyal client base, this role offers stability, flexibility, and exciting career opportunities.

Responsibilities

Drive a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter van equipped with advanced insulation for year-round comfort to appointments in the Madison area.
Perform professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling based on breed standards and client preferences.
Handle pets gently and safely throughout the grooming process, employing positive reinforcement techniques.
Assess pet coat and skin conditions, noting concerns and communicating them to owners.
Educate owners on proper grooming practices and recommend home-care products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming van, sanitizing tools and supplies.
Manage appointments effectively to ensure timeliness and productivity.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Requirements

Genuine love for animals.
Proven grooming experience, including knowledge of breed-specific grooming and coat care.
Valid grooming license for the service area (required).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to safely handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
Detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality grooming services.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed.
Certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs or manage large dogs temporarily.
