About the Role 

MOL Group was awarded a 35-year concession for Hungary’s waste management services. MOHU – as part of MOL Group – is responsible for organizing national waste collection, pre-treatment and treatment operations to meet EU recycling and circular economy targets.

Within this framework, Business Partnering Controlling team is one of the key pillars of MOHU Finance.

The role will report to the Head of Controlling, and take over the leadership of the Business Partnering Controlling team (4 direct reports), whose mission is to act as the true thinking partner to the business, supporting decision making, preparing financial analyses, measuring and evaluating efficiency/optimization opportunities and to evaluate business performance, furthermore representing business interests toward key stakeholders, including MOHU/MOL management, ministries and MEKH.

 

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & organizational responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop the MOOHU Business Partnering controlling team (4 expert colleagues)

  • Ensure high-quality deliverables, workload prioritization and capacity planning

  • Drive process improvements and support digitalization of reporting

Decision support & financial analysis

  • Prepare in-depth financial analysis to support business projects and decisions for MOHU and MOL Group management

  • Deliver structured and meaningful insights to optimize profitability and operational efficiency

  • Prepare decision-making and lobbying materials to senior stakeholders

Stakeholder management

  • Represent and support business interest toward MOHU and MOL Group leadership, ministries, MEKH and other authorities

  • Cooperate with multiple internal stakeholders within Finance community and across Business operations

  • Performance management, reporting

  • Track and evaluate efficiency improvement projects and business KPI

  • Lead the yearly business review, and investor relations related reporting ont he Circular Economy Segment

 

Requirements

  • University/college degree in economics, finance, accounting or management

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience (controlling, finance, business partnering, advisory/consulting)

  • Leadership experience is required (team lead or project/people leadership)

  • Strong analytical mindset, excellent modelling capability, structured problem solving

  • Fluency in both Hungarian and English (written and spoken)

  • Strong understanding of corporate and business processes

  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, customer – centric thinking

  • Experience from financial advisory of management consulting is a strong advantage

  • Energy sector or waste management business background is an advantage
