About the Role

Description

Position Summary: 

The Part-Time Outreach Specialist is an external-facing Aspire representative, marketing Aspire’s services and programs to the general public, including professional organizations, schools, resource fairs, social service organizations, and faith-based organizations. Collaborating with the Program Admissions Specialist and various service department leaders, the Outreach Specialist represents Aspire  matching the right services  with people with disabilities seeking our care. The responsibilities include representing Aspire services from a sales and marketing lens, as well as acting as the tour guide for people interested in Aspire services, understanding their needs and highlighting/marketing Aspire services accordingly. 


Position Responsibilities:

The following represents the primary position responsibilities, but other related duties may be assigned to meet the organization's needs.


Referral Engagement: 

· Engage with prospective referrals, families, and referral sources to understand their needs, challenges, and preferences. 

· Build rapport and establish relationships to foster trust and credibility.

· Respond to a high volume of inquiries from outside sources seeking information about Aspire’s services, including people reaching out via phone, email, and walk-ins. 


Service Presentation: 

· Articulate the features, benefits, and value proposition of Aspire services or programs to multiple audiences via in-person and virtual presentations. 

· Deliver persuasive presentations tailored to the needs and interests of the target audience.

· Conduct tours of Aspire’s service and program spaces. 


Program Tours and Observations: 

· Coordinate and facilitate tours of program spaces

· Facilitate program trial days, collaborating with service leaders and the clinical team to conduct observations and support the person with disabilities to engage with and experience the programming, acting as host and point-person for the referral and their family. 

· Collaborate with the Program Admissions Specialist and service leaders to ensure people seeking Aspire services receive the best possible experience of Aspire’s facilities and services.

 

Welcome and Orientation: 

· Act as the in-person contact for people seeking Aspire services or seeking to build a referral pipeline. 

· Provide a warm welcome and comprehensive orientation to familiarize newcomers with Aspire programs, services, and organizational culture.

· Collaborate with the Program Admissions Specialist and service leaders to ensure people seeking Aspire services receive the best possible representation of Aspire.

Requirements

· High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred

· Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, sales, or other presentation-focused industry.

· Recruiting experience preferred

· Experience in social services or medical services. 

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record

· Ability to travel within Chicagoland area for networking and marketing events. 

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and navigate electronic record-keeping systems.

· Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of disability support.
