A Day in the Life as a Youth Care Worker I

As a Youth Care Worker I at our Qualified Residential Treatment Program, your day will be filled with meaningful interactions and impactful moments. You'll start by greeting the residents, setting a positive tone for the day. You'll lead various activities designed to engage the residents, from group discussions that promote social interaction to creative projects that stimulate their minds. Throughout the day, you'll be a source of guidance and support, helping residents navigate challenges, reinforcing positive behaviors, and ensuring they participate in required programs and activities.

Your role involves more than just supervision—it's about being a mentor and role model. You'll document and report on residents' progress, collaborate with the treatment team to develop personalized care plans, and sometimes assist with practical tasks like laundry or meal supervision. Your day may also include transporting residents to appointments or activities, ensuring their safety and well-being every step of the way.
