Requirements
We are seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician with at least two years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Candidates with light commercial HVAC experience or exposure to rooftop units are strongly preferred. The ideal technician is reliable, safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductless mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, system inspections, and tune-ups.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
- Provide accurate assessments and recommendations to homeowners.
- Install replacement parts and components as needed.
- Document all work performed and maintain clear, detailed service reports.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain findings, repairs, and maintenance needs.
- Follow all company procedures, safety policies, and industry regulations.
- Assist with light commercial service calls as needed (preferred but not required).
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours or emergency service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC service experience.
- Some commercial or light commercial HVAC experience preferred (e.g., RTUs, split systems, basic controls).
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently in the field.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments.
