The selected candidate will actively contribute to large-scale industrial projects and ensure the quality and compliance of fire protection systems across a variety of manufacturing environments.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform code analysis and ensure compliance with applicable standards (NFPA, NFC, and local regulations);</li> <li>Design fire protection systems (sprinklers, suppression systems);</li> <li>Prepare technical documents: drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations;</li> <li>Provide technical support during construction: coordination, inspections, and commissioning;</li> <li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process, building) to integrate fire protection systems into projects;</li> <li>Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and partners to ensure quality and compliance with requirements;</li> <li>Mentor and guide junior engineers and professionals within project teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Building Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant specialization;</li> <li><strong><u>Licence Engineer</u></strong> of Professional Engineers Ontario (<strong>PEO</strong>) or Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (<strong>OIQ</strong>) ;</li> <li>7 to 10 years of relevant experience in fire protection, ideally within the industrial sector;</li> <li>Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NFPA, NFC);</li> <li>Ability to manage complete projects, from design through commissioning;</li> <li>Excellent communication skills; <strong><em>bilingualism </em></strong>(French/English) is an <strong><u>asset</u></strong>;</li> <li>NFPA membership and/or CFPS designation are considered strong assets.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Benefits – What We Have to Offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Competitive Salary:</strong> Competitive salary commensurate with experience and industry standards;</li> <li><strong>Health and Wellness Programs:</strong> Comprehensive group health <strong>insurance </strong>coverage <u>from <strong>day one</strong></u> (medical, dental, vision, childcare);</li> <li><strong>Retirement Plans:</strong> Employer-contributed <strong><u>RRSP</u> </strong>plan at <strong>4%</strong>;</li> <li><strong>Flexible Work Arrangements:</strong> <strong><u>Hybrid work</u></strong> mode, with a minimum of <strong><u>2 days</u></strong><u> per week <strong>in the office</strong></u>;</li> <li><strong>Professional Development:</strong> A work environment that encourages empowerment and professional growth.
