Our store staff provides an outstanding shopping experience that allows our customers to acquire these items while the team applies their exceptional sales and customer service skills within this unique and exciting environment.

A key member of the Retail Operations team, the Receiving and Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for the processing and administration of all products shipped from and received at the Frank Lloyd Wright Store, located at Taliesin West in Scottsdale, AZ. Working closely with the Retail Store Manager, the Receiving and Fulfillment Associate receives and verifies incoming shipments and ensures that purchase orders have been filled correctly. 

Essential Functions:

Processes merchandise orders by inventorying new receipts, entering the information into the computer, price labeling products and accurately allocating inventory to the sales floor and stockroom(s)

  • Maintains purchase order file to document back-orders and to accurately document supplemental receipts
  • Tracks inventory and reports any shortages to sales team so product database reflects updated quantities; also communicates returns or replacements, and shortages or damages, within individual vendors’ guidelines
  • Prints daily fulfillment shipment invoices/receipts and cross-checks with computer software to ensure accuracy
  • Prepares and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs with accuracy and appropriate methodology
  • Assembles and fills boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped and affixes proper postage to each package in preparation for shipping
  • Orders all operational supplies for the Store and fulfillment, including shipping cartons and relevant supply items
  • Cross trained in sales floor operations with operational responsibility to open & close the Store, assist with break & lunch coverage and fulfill salesfloor shifts as required
  • This position will be crossed trained in basic duties performed by the eCommerce and Inventory Specialist
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area and updates supplies as needed
  • Routes or delivers materials to appropriate departments as needed
  • Monitors the Frank Lloyd Wright Store email inbox daily, responding to customers with professionalism, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Resolves customer service issues related to online and in-store orders.
  • Collaborates with Retail Manager to escalate customer issues and questions to ensure quick resolution.
  • Other related duties as assigned

This position is a full-time position with a rate of $20/hour, plus comprehensive benefits including a paid-time-off package. Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and two years of work experience within a retail or e-commerce setting, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience 
  • Experience with relevant computer, business equipment, POS systems and other electronic fields including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to mark and count stock, take inventory, and keep records that are up-to-date and error free
  • Work history in which high attention to detail was required on a daily basis
  • Capable of working a consistent schedule, and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with physical stamina
  • Comfortable working with a team as well as independently as job duties dictate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar retail and/or warehouse setting
  • Prior experience in a lead role preferred
  • Knowledge of supply chain management
  • Occasional flexibility to work on weekends and evenings

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather and desert environmental conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • OSHA Risk Classification for COVID-19 Exposure: Medium Risk: This position requires frequent/close contact with the public and other co-workers and is therefore determined to fall within the Medium Risk category as defined by OSHA. To further minimize risk, employees are required to follow the Foundation's Safe and Healthy Workplace guidelines and related personal and facility infection control policies.
