Sharon Fence Distributors is a wholesale distributor and manufacturer of all types of gates, fencing, gate operators and access control products. SFD specializes in the manufacturing of aluminum slide gates and chain link fence, particularly in Commercial/Industrial, DOT, Turnpike, the Marcellas Shale and Utica Shale industries. SFD distributes a full line of residential products, including Ornamental Aluminum fencing, residential chain link, Western Red Cedar, as well as PVC fencing and treated lumber. SFD also has a dedicated staff to service access control and gate operator installation professionals. SFD has locations in Sharon, PA, Columbus, OH and Buffalo, NY. The Corporate office and manufacturing center are located in Sharon, PA.
About the Role

Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Handler/forklift driver is responsible for accurately receiving and storing products to meet company standards of safety, productivity, and quality. This position is also responsible for moving materials to storage areas as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the yard.


Pay: $17-21 hr

Schedule:-Mon thru Fri from 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers.

• Operate Forklift and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, and packing of materials.

• Read work orders and determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

• Transport products to storage areas using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store product

• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.

• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items

• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.

• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.

• Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Must be able to work overtime as required.
