About the Role

Description

The Dishwasher at Maine Beer Company is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for plates, silverware, glassware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is cleaned and organized. The dishwasher reports directly to the Head Chef, and the position includes Sunday Monday and Tuesday nights, with other shifts available as needed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scrape, rinse and load dishes into machine
  • Maintain a positive attitude and cooperative work environment
  • Always stay consistent with Maine Beer Company’s mission of “Do what’s right” and our core values
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic to meet the demands of the business
  • Wash all dishes, utensils, glassware and pans
  • Clean, sanitize and maintain dish machine
  • Change water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more depending on the volume of business
  • Empty trash containers as needed
  • Maintain a clean work area by mopping and sweeping as needed
  • Perform daily closing tasks
  • Perform additional cleaning tasks as requested
  • Assist in bussing and sanitizing tables
  • Maintain communication with Head Chef and other coworkers
  • Abide by dress code applicable to food safety
