Position: Optometric Technician

Location: River City Vision Center

Schedule: Full-Time

Compensation: $17.50-$19.00 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to support our doctors and team in delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with advanced technology, and is committed to helping our practice run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examinations by utilizing diagnostic equipment, including:
    • Autorefractor
    •  iCare tonometer
    • Optomap imaging
    • Optovue OCT
    • Handheld ERG
    • Visual field testing equipment
  • Reschedule and coordinate testing appointments for patients as needed.
  • Follow up with patient referrals and ensure timely communication with referring providers.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with patients to address outstanding concerns or appointments.
  • Assist other staff members with tasks to maintain the flow and efficiency of the office.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an optometric or healthcare setting is preferred but not required (training available for the right candidate).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and technology, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
