About the Role

Job Title: Nurse Manager – Critical Care RN
Location: Sanford, FL
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent – Days (7 AM – 4 PM, flexibility for extended hours and 24/7 call response)
Base Salary Range: $79,000 – $110,000/year (based on experience)
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Sign-On Bonus: Not offered


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Critical Care RN to provide leadership and operational oversight for a combined 31-bed ICU and PCU. The successful candidate will have recent acute care leadership experience in critical care, a proactive approach to patient care management, and strong communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations for ICU and PCU units (48 FTEs)

  • Maintain nursing standards, policies, and compliance with all regulatory agencies

  • Coordinate patient care across interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes

  • Oversee discharge planning and patient/family education

  • Develop quality improvement initiatives to meet core measures, patient safety, and service excellence goals

  • Ensure proper staffing, equipment availability, and resource allocation

  • Foster a culture of patient-centered care and employee engagement


Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree; BSN preferred

  • Current RN license; APRN license accepted

  • 3+ years of recent (within the last year) acute care leadership in ICU

  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of start

  • BLS within 30 days; ACLS and PALS/Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months of start


Pay & Benefits Summary:

  • Base Salary: $79,000 – $110,000/year depending on years of experience (10 years = $98K, 15 years = $110K)
