Job Summary

At Diverzify+ and our Family of Brands, our Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials, supplies, and equipment according to sales orders, ensuring proper loading, securing, and delivery to job sites. They operate vehicles skillfully in all traffic and road conditions, follow safety regulations, plan efficient routes, and use defensive driving techniques. Drivers also complete delivery paperwork, conduct vehicle inspections, recognize maintenance issues, and report them as needed to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures materials, supplies, and equipment match sales orders, are properly loaded, secured, delivered, or picked up safely and on time, and staged correctly at job sites using appropriate equipment.
• Completes and processes necessary paperwork related to deliveries and pickups.
• Operates trucks skillfully in various traffic and road conditions, with full knowledge of vehicle dimensions, clearances, turning radius, braking distance, and safe driving distances.
• Demonstrates proficiency in reading maps, planning efficient routes, and applying defensive driving techniques to ensure safety and avoid hazards.
• Understands and follows all applicable safety regulations and jurisdictional vehicle operation rules.
• Loads cargo securely using proper tie-down methods for safe transit at highway speeds or similar conditions.
• Applies knowledge from the truck’s operator manual to real driving situations and identifies maintenance issues during inspections, reporting problems to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B Driver's License.
• Ability to work some Saturday's when necessary.
• Willingness to complete Diverzify's DOT (Department of Transportation) Program upon hire.
