Position Overview
The Data Transformation Engineer plays a key role in the development and execution of automatic data collection and integration processes. This position focuses on the importing of data from a variety of sources into the Platform for reporting. The Data Transformation Engineer is part of the Database team which is dedicated to providing clean and useable marketing data to our clients. As part of the MSIGHTS team, this position requires a great capacity to take initiative, an ability to consistently deliver above expectation, a passion for continuous improvement, and a willingness to work hard and be rewarded.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Position is responsible for the ETL process which includes the different marketing channels, validations, and preparation of the data for Reporting or System to System interconnection.
- Responsible for understanding Data models, how to normalize data and prepare information in the form of views and report sets.
- Implement Solutions in different Database engines that incorporate Dat Flows and/or Data Streams.
- Implement Client Business Rules to use and group data.
- Monitor and improve query execution, performance for all clients.
- Using Agile and Scrum methodologies, deliver a plan and follow it to successfully release the applications.
- The candidate is required to document, generate ideas, follow coding standards, and follow coding patterns.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years of experience working on Cloud Computing in AWS services.
- Working knowledge in any of the following database services Redshift, Athena, In -memory database, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Data Models, Data Normalization, Automatic,Data Sanitization, Data Flows, Data Streams, and Data Maps.
- Desirable non-SQL databases.
- Must be a self-starter, willing to take the initiative and propose innovation in MSIGHTS products and/or processes.
- Fluent in the English Language with strong communications skills - both written and verbal — and the ability to work well with an internal team.
- Must be detail-oriented, committed to quality, and client-focused, all while being flexible and entrepreneurial in a fast-paced international work environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
