Team Xbox is at the forefront of delivering the industry’s best platform and experiences for both gamers and game developers. We work closely with industry leaders across hardware, software, services and our 1st and 3rd party game development partners to ensure Microsoft’s platforms are designed and optimized to meet the needs of our most passionate fans and players, whether they choose to play on the Xbox console, PC, or mobile devices. The Xbox Next Generation team is driving the future of gaming across devices, platforms, and player experiences. 

 

 

We are looking for a Business Program Manager, you will be a strategic partner to the VP of Next Generation, helping shape and execute the business rhythms, operational frameworks, and cross-functional coordination that enable innovation at scale. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, excels at driving clarity, and is passionate about Xbox and empowering teams to deliver transformative gaming experiences.



Responsibilities

 

 

  • Drive Business Operations:
    • Execute the rhythm of business activities including quarterly planning, budget tracking, and leadership updates.
    • Maintain operational calendars, central Teams channels and document repositories, coordinate meeting logistics, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Facilitate collaboration across hardware, software, content, business and marketing teams by managing follow-ups, documentation, and status updates.
    • Ensure alignment and timely execution of timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across workstreams.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives:
    • Translate high-level strategy into actionable plans and track progress against milestones.
    • Partner with the VP to drive strategic initiatives, including product launch readiness, investment planning, and executive communications.
    • Support post-launch evaluations and feedback loops to refine strategy and execution.
  • Execution Support for VP:

• Manage executive calendar support, ensuring scheduling aligns with priorities and deadlines.
• Manage action items, prep materials, and follow-through on commitments from leadership meetings.
• Coordinate communications and ensure consistency across internal and external messaging.



Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 2+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
 
  • 3+ years of experience in business management, strategy, finance, or operations roles.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in gaming, consumer hardware, or platform businesses is a plus.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action.
  • Passion for gaming and understanding of the Xbox ecosystem.
  • Experience supporting senior executives or working in a Chief of Staff capacity.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle frameworks, launch planning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and drive clarity in fast-paced environments.

 



Business Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
