Farmers Market Coordinator Description PAY RATE LEVEL: Two (2) $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, 10+ hrs per week - Seasonal REPORTS TO: General Manager SUPPORTS: All Departments LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

? Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ensure compliance with regulatory rules and standards relevant to the department.
? Act as a model for all employees, abiding by all co-op policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Manual and other guidelines.
? Demonstrate cooperation and professionalism, ensuring the integrity of Feather River Food Co-op’s values, principles, and standards in decision making and interactions with others.
? Ensure professional and friendly service is provided by Co-op employees.
? Actively seek out and create educational and talent development opportunities to increase the skills and knowledge of all store employees.
? Actively participate in the Feather River Food Co-op’s management team and work together to achieve team goals and provide support to the General Manager.
? Follow procedures in the case of emergencies (such as fire, power outages, and evacuations), injuries and workplace violence, and non-emergency situations such as shoplifting and disruptive behavior.
? Comply with the requirements of FRFC’s Illness & Injury Prevention Program and address employee concerns and questions related to the IIPP.
? Abide by dress code and all Co-op policies and procedures as specified in the FRFC Employee Handbook.
? Attend employee meetings as requested by the GM. FARMERS MARKET
? Work with local partners to schedule and operate at least four farmers markets a season.
? Develop marketing materials including promotion of the market and other important messaging.
? Maintain working relationships with local farmers and vendors.
? Solicit sponsorships for the market from local businesses and individuals.
? Obtain necessary permits in order to operate the market.
? Coordinate farmers market committee meetings with the support of a board member as the chair.
? Manage volunteers for the market.
? Manage market budget and revenue sources.
? Promote the market via social media and direct email to the membership.
? Maintain the farmers market website with current information.
? Act as a liaison with community organizations for the market, as directed by the GM.
? Maintain market information display and calendar in stores.

Scheduling Requirements The scheduling availability described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. All employees must be available to work weekends, evenings, early mornings, holidays, and high demand seasons. Employees will be provided with a recurring base schedule at the time of hire, this will be used to determine the employees employment benefit status. Employees are subject to adhering to all scheduling, vacation, sick, and attendance related policies not mentioned here. Full disclosure of policies is available upon request. Work Environment
? Fast paced, physically demanding work environment.
? Occasional job-related travel for training, meetings, and/or events.
? Work near moving mechanical parts (i.e. store equipment, tools, etc.)
? Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noises (i.e. equipment and machinery)
? Crowded workspaces. Computer sharing is required.
? Can involve work in high precarious places (i.e. ladders, ladder work.)
? Ability to work in cold, wet conditions. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service.
? Minimum of two (2) years of experience in social media, outreach, and marketing.
? Ability to travel for work - travel is reimbursed.
? Experience or willingness to learn farmers market management.
? Experience using spreadsheets and word processing programs.
? Knowledge of natural foods and organic standards.
? Proven ability to handle multiple demands, work under time pressures, and meet deadlines.
? Strong organizational skills.
? Keen attention to detail.
? Strong communication and listening skills.
? Commitment to superior customer service and to providing the highest quality shopping experience possible.
? Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment where teamwork and constant communication is essential.
? Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments.
? Availability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
