Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team at a reputable nursing facility. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents by preparing nutritious, appealing meals in a compassionate and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and residents’ specific nutritional needs

- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining freshness and quality

- Follow safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment

- Assist in menu planning and meal presentation to enhance residents’ dining experience

- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed

- Collaborate with nursing staff and dietitians to accommodate special dietary restrictions and preferences

- Maintain accurate records of food preparation and storage

Requirements

 - Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or nursing facility setting

- Knowledge of dietary restrictions, nutritional guidelines, and food safety standards

- Ability to follow recipes and meal plans precisely

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Food handler’s certification or equivalent preferred
