About the Role

Description

The Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Supervisor plays a key leadership role in coordinating and supporting behavioral health operations across Janus programs. Working closely with senior leadership, the IBH Supervisor oversees staffing, scheduling, and recruitment efforts for the behavioral health team, while ensuring alignment with organizational and IBH priorities. This role provides administrative and clinical support, facilitates training and meetings, monitors team performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensures timely, high-quality care coordination. The IBH Supervisor also engages directly with clients, providing individual psychotherapy, and promoting integrated, person-centered care through strong collaboration, communication, and crisis management skills.  

 

Responsibilities  

  • Work closely with Chief Operations Officer, Sr. Director of Programs, Clinical Managers, and Chief Program Officer (CPO) on behalf of the behavioral health team, to coordinate efforts between all programs and community partners to advance Integrated Behavioral Health initiatives and priorities. 
  • Coordinate and oversee Therapists’ schedules and timecards.  
  • Works with program leadership to determine appropriate therapy staffing levels and identify staffing and recruitment needs. 
  • Assist the PAC department in Therapist for recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new case managers. 
  • Provides Administrative Support to the Janus IBH team.  
  • Assist with planning and coordinating meetings, training, and events related to integrated behavioral health.   
  • Set project goals, timelines, work plans, and regular meeting agendas. 
  • Ensure that all project goals are completed on time.  
  • Monitor IBH and Therapists’ KPIs and improve team productivity as needed.  
  • Ensure therapy needs are being met at each site, developing operational ECM plans by specific site needs.  
  • Work with QA/QA team to monitor compliance of active enrolled members and associated documentation required for revenue cycle.  
  • Organize Therapist group supervision to offer support, case consultation, and continued development of clinical skills. 
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to therapists, interns, and/or case managers as assigned. 
  • Support staff in clinical formulation, treatment planning, and use of evidence-based practices. 
  • Model trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally competent approaches to care. 
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and case consultations. 
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of clinical staff. 

CLINICAL SERVICES, QUALITY & PATIENT CARE: 

  • Provide individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy when needed/appropriate. 
  • Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure documentation meets agency and regulatory standards. 
  • Support staff with clinical needs throughout the facility, including conflict resolutions, crisis management, and de-escalation.   
  • Maintain a prescribed manageable caseload while dedicating protected time for supervision and program development. 
  • Manages caseloads based on KPI assignment of supervisor.  

Related Functions: 

  • Attends all required trainings and administrative meetings, as required 
  • Is a member of the Program Leadership Team (PLT) 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor 

Requirements

 

  • Master’s Degree and minimum of two years' experience post education required  
  • Associate registration with BBS or full licensure required in behavioral health field  
  • Eligible to supervise trainees in master's in behavioral health programs  
  • Minimum two years of employment experience in a behavioral health or human service setting  
  • Minimum one-year supervisory/leadership experience in a clinical setting  
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams. 
  • Familiarity with Managed Care Plan- Central California Alliance for Health CalAIM, and Integrated medical and behavioral health models in treating substance use disorders. 
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards & CFR42 confidentiality restrictions. 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required. 
  • Ability to effectively use internal and external informational technology systems (including EHRs, SCHIO, MS Office products, Insurance portals, and others) and keep prompt documentation within the systems. 
  • Travel is required. 

Additional Credentials: 

  • Certification in Motivational Interviewing (MI) or Trauma-Informed Care (TIC). 
  • Clinical supervisor training
