Job Description

The Stäubli Logistics Manager, North America oversees logistics and warehouse functions, ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting business growth. They set priorities, negotiate transportation rates, manage shipping practices, and coordinate operations across our Duncan, SC and Querétaro, Mexico locations. The role aims to optimize productivity and efficiency, aligning daily operations with customer needs and company objectives, while supporting broader business goals and strategies.

Reports to:

Director of Operations and Supply Chain – North America

Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Establish and monitor an efficient structure to ensure delivery and productivity for growth
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team meeting outlined work procedure requirements
  • Develop and maintain work procedures and instructions
  • Manage employee schedules and prepare for unexpected absences
  • Coordinate with division personnel for shipments
  • Streamline warehouse operations, including the shipping, receiving, and inventory areas
  • Collaborate with vendors for optimal service and rates
  • Verify and approve freight invoices
  • Ensure effective intercompany and external logistics operations with affiliates
  • Emphasize continuous improvement for operational excellence
  • Foster high-performing teams with cross-functional support
  • Address customer complaints and quality issues with corrective actions
  • Conduct Quality Audits to confirm requirement compliance
  • Facilitate interdepartmental coordination for production/service problem-solving
  • Analyze data for problem-solving and risk mitigation strategies
  • Enhance employee effectiveness through recruitment, training, coaching, and mentorship
  • Fulfill managerial responsibilities by focusing on strategy, teamwork, empowerment, and accountability
  • Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics (preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Logistics management and team management (required)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills, including presentations
  • Excellent listening, curiosity, understanding, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective leadership: capable of motivating and developing a team through hands-on example
  • Results-driven with a focus on quality performance and customer service
  • Skilled in problem-solving and creating programs to meet business needs
  • Proactive in customer service
  • Self-motivated with task definition capabilities
  • Highly organized and capable of executing projects efficiently

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

  • Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
  • Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment (eg, Forklift)

Work schedule:

  • Willingness to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 10%)
  • This position will report to the Duncan, SC office (not a remote position)
  • Standard Operating Hours: M – F, 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Expectation to follow guidelines set forth in the Employee Handbook
