Job Description

  • Performs the tasks assigned to him and to the highest standards ensures their implementation while working independently.
  • Acts on issues and concerns in his activity field immediately.
  • Must be able to control the stocks and other items in his workshop and order more as required.
  • Abides to the daily task and ensures timely implementation.
  • Checks extra needs of a guest.
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
  • Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
  • Ensures oneself is thoroughly familiar with the hotel’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
  • Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings
  • Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role preferably in a Five or Four star Hotel
  • Proven experience in performing routine maintenance tasks and inspections in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols governing facility operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and calibrate various equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with staff, guests, and external contractors.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, etc.).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
