With the Microsoft Cloud Security team, we take immense pride in developing a diverse set of security products and services that are leaders in their respective market segments. Our innovative solutions have set new industry standards, earning global recognition safeguarding critical infrastructure at the highest scale. Microsoft Defender for Cloud is a cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP) designed to protect cloud-based applications running in all major cloud providers. Microsoft Defender for Cloud secures cloud applications from code-to-cloud by unifying development security operations (DevSecOps) at the code level, cloud security posture management (CSPM) to surface and prevent breaches and cloud workload protection platform (CWPP) to identify, alert and block real-time cyber-attacks worldwide. Responsibilities

As a Principal Software Engineer in the Microsoft Defender for Cloud Security team, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation security products and services, you will have the opportunity to work on business-critical initiatives that directly shape the future of Microsoft Security products.

The role requires to:  

  • Take a broad cross-team and cross-discipline role, working on a product with high visibility and high impact.

  • Lead end-to-end design, implementation and delivery of services and features, following industry best practices, adhering to very high security standards

  • Collaborate closely with partner groups, product management and research teams to deliver great product.

  • Demonstrate leadership principles of model, coach, and care for team members.  



Qualifications
  • 9+ years of hands-on engineering experience leading complex designs, developing high quality and high resilient systems. 
  • 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience working on large-scale cloud applications and designing and building large-scale distributed systems.  
  • 3+ years of experience as senior/principal technical lead / architect role. 

Advantages  

  • B.Sc./M.Sc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. 
  • Engaging, cooperative, forward thinking, curious and enthusiastic.   
  • Experience with Security/Cyber domains. 
  • Experience in AI development. 
  • Experience with the Azure cloud environment.
