About The Company
OrthoCincy is an orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine physician practice that offers complete orthopaedic and sports medicine care at 13 convenient office locations across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The practice consists of 45 board-certified/eligible physicians specializing in general orthopaedics and a variety of sub-specialties, and offer in-office X-ray, MRI, and physical therapy services. The Edgewood and Eastgate locations feature an Orthopaedic Urgent Care that is designed to treat urgent orthopaedic injuries and conditions without an appointment. The Orthopaedic Urgent Care is open Mon-Fri 9am-9pm, and Sat 9am-1pm. No appointment is required, and Walk-Ins are welcome. A visit to the Orthopaedic Urgent Care costs less than an ER visit.

Description

General Summary: Vital to the success of organization with providing OrthoCincy patients and visitors with a premier orthopaedic experience and focusing on their individual needs while assisting in the therapy departments. 


Essential Job Functions:

1. Greets each patient and visitor in a welcoming and inviting manner and aids in setting up equipment or treatment areas to assist therapists with care and safety of patients.

2. Treats each patient, visitor and coworker with compassion, devotion and respect.

3. Provides compassionate support to patients and visitors in the therapy clinic.

4. Performs housekeeping duties of the facility by routine and periodic cleaning to help maintain order and cleanliness throughout the facility. 

5. Assisting with laundry for linens used in the therapy department, MRI and procedure suites. 

6. Assist therapist/assistants in selected procedures, according to their directions, to aid in patient care in the facility. 

7. Maintain daily, weekly and monthly logs for cleaning, stocking supplies and performing monthly safety checks.

8. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and co-workers.

9. Takes initiative in performing additional tasks that may be necessary or in the best interest of the department/practice.

Requirements

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent plus additional job related training. Previous medical knowledge, CPR/AED and first aid certification preferred.


Other Requirements: Must be customer service oriented with a team environment focus. Schedules will change as department needs change. Willing to work at multiple locations.

  3. Knowledge of customer services standards.
  4. Knowledge of cleaning agents and methods.

  1. Ability to work on a team while maintaining positive and professional relationships.

  3. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization      exists.
  4. Ability to understand, interpret and carry out oral and written instructions.
  5. Ability to multitask effectively.

Equipment Operated: Standard office and physical therapy equipment.


Work Environment: Physical and occupational therapy clinic. 


Mental/Physical Requirements: Often have to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, and stand for long periods. Must be able to remain focused and attentive without distractions (i.e. personal devices). Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
