Our client is a forward-thinking and innovative company specializing in technical consulting, design, and programming services for the show control and entertainment industry.
Since 2015, our client has been developing and manufacturing the ISAAC platform, a cutting-edge solution for monitoring and managing AV systems.

As part of its ongoing growth, our client is seeking a motivated, skilled, and independent Product Specialist to join the team.

Job Description

  • Act as a consultant for customers regarding system sizing and specifications.
  • Prepare, configure, and test customer orders.
  • Provide Level-2 support for the ISAAC platform.
  • Deliver customer training on the platform.
  • Support potential onsite deployments and training sessions.
  • Participate in system-level testing in collaboration with the R&D team.
  • Provide network and/or system setup assistance for SMI’s project teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the Support and QA teams.
  • Manage assignments independently and work autonomously when required.
  • Be available for travel (approximately 30% of the time).

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (switches, routers, VLAN, DHCP, NTP, DNS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in setting up and managing networks.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox).
  • General Linux usage and basic administration skills.
  • Programming experience (middleware, automation, scripting, workflow management).
  • Understanding and hands-on use of RESTful APIs.
  • Broad knowledge of computer architecture (compute, storage, networking).
  • Ability to interpret interactions between different systems.
  • Familiarity with PXE, SNMP, and Node-RED (a plus).
  • Understanding of containerized (Docker) environments (a plus).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and development lifecycle tools (GitLab, Jira, Git) (a plus).
  • Familiarity with AV/Entertainment systems, technologies, and concepts (a plus).
  • Proficiency in Office365 tools, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science is not required but is a strong plus.
