About the Role

Position Overview

The Tatu City Marketing & Communications Associate is a strategic position with overall responsibility for the conception and execution of Marketing & Communications (both internal and external) -focused campaigns, collateral, media, events, digital and research, as well as corporate positioning of Rendeavour (and Tatu City brand) as one of Kenya’s largest foreign direct investors. The Marketing and Communications Associate will work closely with a digital marketer, a designer, an events coordinator, a researcher and a technologist (CRM). Candidates are assured of an exciting career with a transformational, multi-decade new city development for all Kenyans.

  • Conception and execution of strategies to achieve communications, stakeholder and media relations, messaging, and supporting sales campaigns across the board.
  • Generation, analysis, and management of media and influencer leads to support brand building, stakeholder engagement, and support sales efforts.
  • Projection of Tatu City and Rendeavour brands and messaging strongly and consistently across all channels and marketing activities.
  • Support the execution of multi-stakeholder Tatu City events (public, client, media, government).
  • Conception and execution of multi-channel corporate and marketing communication strategies (newsletters, press releases, media coverage, etc.).
  • Conception and execution of digital communication and marketing strategy.
  • Content development and management, including production of video and photography about Tatu City and affiliated projects.
  • Analysis of consumer behavior and determine customer personas and curate appropriate messaging strategies.
  • Actively involved in management of all branding materials and marketing collateral.
  • Planning and execution of Kenya CSR strategy as member of Rendeavour CSR Committee.
  • Media relations and crisis communications.
  • Department budgeting.

Performance Measurement

  • Establish KPIs (MQLs, SQLs, Sales targets) for campaign/activity success and implement measurement tools.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to gather feedback, assess the success, and prepare comprehensive reports within a week post-campaign, which should include results of the above-mentioned KPIs

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field from a reputable university.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in data-driven consumer marketing, communications, and branding or closely related roles.
  • Detailed research, analytical, and communication skills are a requirement.
  • Strong ability in editorial skills, planning, branding, design, and digital communications.
  • Knowledge of multi-channel marketing/communication processes and the local Kenyan media.
  • Strong writing, media relations, and influence management skills
  • Experience in real estate or construction industry is highly desirable.
