Oaks Sydney Hyde Park Suites is seeking two part-time Maintenance Officers to help keep our property operating smoothly. If you enjoy hands-on work, variety in your day, and take pride in maintaining high building standards, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As the Maintenance Officers, you’ll ensure our building, facilities, and equipment are safe, functional, and presented to a high standard. You’ll be the go-to person for routine upkeep, reactive repairs, and supporting contractors when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Completing daily maintenance requests across guest rooms and public areas.
• Assisting with general repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing tasks.
• Monitoring building systems and reporting issues promptly.
• Supporting scheduled maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Working with external contractors and providing access or assistance when required.
• Ensuring all maintenance records and logs are kept up to date.
• Responding to urgent issues promptly to minimise disruption to guests and operations.

• Previous experience in a maintenance or building services role, ideally within hospitality or residential buildings.
• Practical skills across general repairs and an ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Someone organised, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and in a team.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• A proactive approach with a commitment to safe work practices.
