This is a non exempt, hurly position starting at $25-$27.50 per hour.
Job Description
Are you a jack of all trades, if so, our Engineering Supervisor role will allow you to lead and train engineering and landscape team members in all technical and non-technical areas. This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.
- Assume responsibilities of the Director of Engineering and Engineer Manager in their absence.
- Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system
- Respond to all Guest Requests within a very timely manner
- Respond to all emergency or life threatening situations
- Follow established safety procedures
- Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs
- Duties include emergency on call status
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-4 year experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment
- High school diploma or equivalent, Technical school desired
- Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment
- Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools
- Ability to take action and make decisions whenever necessary as directed by the Director of Engineering or Engineer Manager.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as well as follow directions on warning labels
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
