Civmec is excited to announce that we have been awarded a new Sodium Cyanide Expansion Project in Kwinana working Monday-Friday Nightshift. This is a great opportunity for experienced Special Class Welders to join our team! This is your chance to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled, high-performing team.

The Role

  • Welding to AS3992 and ASME IX standard
  • Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
  • Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes
  • Perform the welding of Stainless and Carbon pipe
  • Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures
  • Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW
  • Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components
  • Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required
  • Monday to Friday Nightshift works

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
  • Current High risk elevating work platform license and VOC
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
  • Ability to pass a 6G GTAW/MMAW on Carbon and stainless pipe
  • Previous construction experience
  • Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
