About the Role

Description

The position is responsible for the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fuel trucks and other support vehicles to ensure the safe and economical usage of vehicles.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply strategies to ensure transportation needs are completed throughout the northern areas.
  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment by establishing, following and enforcing company standards, and policies as well as other legal regulations (DOT, OSHA, DOL) to ensure the safety of all staff.
  • Participates in the general leadership and management of the overall company operations.
  • Provides advice to officers and other managers within the company.
  • Involved in strategic planning and demonstrates a self-directed approach to completing work duties.
  • Review/process purchase requisitions for parts and supplies; review vendor bid responses for tools, equipment, parts and services; monitor expenditures.

Requirements

  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of diesel automotive repair facility management.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of large scale operations.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of business practices applicable to warehouse management.
  • Ability to plan and supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all customers.
