We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Columbus, MN and have an opening for a Trailer Technician for our Mobile Service Trucks. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, willing to jump in and help out where needed, able to travel, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers.

SCHEDULE:

1st Shift Monday-Friday, (hours may fluctuate due to off-site travel work)

Requirements

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Perform on-site spindle repair and replacement
• Some overnight travel required  
• Knowledge of trucks and trailers, including systems and components
• Operating engine lathes experience (a plus)  
• Experience in welding, fabrication, and machining
• Demonstrates self-motivation, willingness to learn, and effective problem-solving skills
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers

• Great work ethic

• Clean driving record (CDL a plus)
• Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
• Welding experience a plus
• Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
• Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
• Honesty and respect
