About the Role

Our Risk and Compliance function exists to enable the FNZ Group to safely achieve its strategic objectives and protect value; to support the growth and delivery of services and propositions to the quality our clients and regulators expect. This role sits an integral part of the first line risk team that will provide specialist remediation management and leadership support to the FNZ business and play an active role in the management of individual remediation cases. The team are also responsible for the effective management of first line risks across the Australian business and driving closures of actions to effectively manager risk events across the FNZ business.

We are looking for someone who can support and coordinate the execution of customer remediation activity and manage risk events in line with the FNZ and Group policies and supporting processes.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Drafting relevant risk notifications as and when they arise.
  • Analyse and investigate incidents that have taken place, create timelines and suggest relevant recommendations.
  • Support remediation activities in conjunction with other staff across the business.
  • Remediation action ownership with ongoing management of individual cases.
  • Liaise with key business resources and other stakeholders to manage risk event actions to drive closure.
  • Analyse data/information in respect to the various steps in the remediation process.
  • Support and adhere to FNZ’s goals and values

Experience required

  • Experience in operational risk or remediation; ideally within financial services; with a strong operational focus.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills. Ability to communicate effectively at a variety of levels both technical and non-technical to internal and external stakeholders.
  • A base knowledge of financial products would be advantageous.
  • Good investigation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
