As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, your primary focus is to ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of dental care in a calm, clean, and supportive environment. You’ll be an essential part of the clinical team—supporting hygienists and dentists with the tools, supplies, and setup needed to deliver exceptional care with minimal disruptions.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to dental hygienists during cleanings and other hygiene services
- Support the clinical team by managing dental supply inventory in collaboration with Catalyst Purchasing
- Oversee the routine maintenance and cleanliness of all dental equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Minimize repairs through proactive care and regular upkeep of equipment
- Ensure compliance with universal precautions and all federal/state health and safety regulations, fostering a safe, hygienic work environment for patients and staff
- Assist with patient record management, scheduling, and materials handling
- Contribute to a positive patient experience—from welcome to walk-out
- Perform other duties as needed to support clinical operations

Monday - Thursday 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM
Work Environment & Tools Used
You’ll work in a modern dental clinic using a variety of equipment and tools, including:
- Dental instruments and chairside tools
- X-ray and sterilization equipment
- Office equipment: computers, copiers, printers, fax, postage machine, etc.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified or trained Dental Assistant with a current Oklahoma Dental Assistant permit
- Certifications: CPR, First Aid, Radiography, Coronal Polishing, and Hygiene Assistance
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, tray setups, dental codes, and emergency protocols
- Proficient in using dental tools and technology (digital x-rays, intraoral camera, sterilization equipment, etc.)
- Infection control and sterilization experience
- Valid driver’s license required

Physical Requirements
- Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers as needed
- Occasional exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and radiation
