The Program Assistant will attend meet-and-greet sessions, identify customer needs, and provide information about services. They will also facilitate intake sessions and track enrollments while maintaining communication with applicants.

Requirements
- High School diploma, preferred AA in Business
- Experience in a Job/ Career Center setting
- Experience in career counseling
- Experience with WIOA
- Experience working with Salesforce experience.
- Able to pass Microsoft Office ProveIT at a high competency level.
- Veterans are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Attended meet-and-greet sessions for first-time and continuing customers.
- Identifies customer needs and expectations and directs customers to next steps.
- Provides Center information regarding all services, including accessibility, referrals, and processes.
- Answers telephone, takes messages, distributes messages, and transfers calls to appropriate staff
- Coordinates and plans for assessing suitability and eligibility for Veteran job seekers interested in receiving employment services.
- Regularly facilitate individual and group intake and information sessions for job seekers at the center and coordinate offsite and specialty intake sessions for events.
- Communicates program information to applicants and maintains a deep understanding of the purpose and intention of the completed forms, how they are used, and why we use them.
- Answers questions, responds to customer inquiries, and reaches out to customers without complete enrollment information.
- Tracks enrollments and reports information to colleagues and management. Reviews eligibility documentation and verifies information prior to entering it.
- Utilizes various databases to enroll participants into applicable programs (WIOA, HVRP). Utilizes Microsoft office tools and web-based databases (CALJOBS, Salesforce) to pull reports and communicate performance.
- Responsible for the timely submission, tracking, and data entry of new customer information.
- Other support duties as assigned include significant cross-training for other tasks.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Office or classroom environment in a fast-paced business setting. Must be able to lift 30 lbs and do a fair amount of sitting, answering telephones, and moving within the center.
