Reports To
The Engineering Support Associate will report to the Engineering Support Supervisor.
Job Summary
The Engineering Support Associate works with Project Managers and Engineering to provide expertise in service to our customers and all of our various functional departments. They are to perform a wide variety of tasks required by our projects and support our fabrication department from start to finish.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform quality control checks on wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and other engineer produced documents.
- Produces various deliverables for our production shop including adhesive labels, wire markers, nameplates, and cable tags using industrial label printers.
- Printing, reviewing, and organizing various sets of drawings and blueprints for use by our production shop.
- Utilizes CAD software such as AutoCAD to create and update technical drawings and plans.
- Run and maintain laser engraving machines to produce various placards and nameplates.
- Perform Document Control related tasks such as stamping and folding drawings, archiving data, and managing revisions.
- Performs record keeping duties such as scanning drawings and organizing files and folders on our network.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-high school education preferred.
- Proficient computer skills with experience with Windows-based computer, spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office software applications.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Ability to learn new skills and work in a team setting.
Physical Requirements
- Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly.
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Possible exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
