Description
The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approach all guests and employees with a smile.
- Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations.
- Answer guest inquires about hotel service facilities and hours of operation.
- Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions.
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all property amenities, as well as any special events, local area attractions, and things to do near the hotel.
- Operate Front Desk computer system.
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
- Stay current on all Hilton and Aimbridge required Trainings and courses.
- Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
- Handle and follow through on all overnight guest requests.
- Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required.
- Assign delivery of newspapers daily. Deliver or assign delivery of Express Check-Out's.
- Prep Breakfast area for guest opening. This includes reviewing a schedule to heat that days hot items and brewing coffee until breakfast attendant arrives.
- Handle items for Lost and Found.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Guest Services Manager or any other member of management.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college course work in related field helpful.
- Experience in a hotel or a related field a PLUS.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
- An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Willing and able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to work with little or no supervision
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem solve.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles.
