Grow Your Technical Expertise Across the PCB Production Floor
Circuit Spring is seeking an experienced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) operator with hands-on knowledge of Pick and Place machines to support our high-performance PCB assembly line. In this role, you’ll operate and maintain SMT equipment to ensure accurate, efficient component placement and high-quality production results. You’ll also have the opportunity to cross-train in additional areas—including hand assembly, rework, and functional testing—to build a well-rounded skill set across the full manufacturing process.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate, program, and monitor Pick and Place machines to ensure accurate component placement and consistent SMT production quality.
- Perform routine equipment setup, feeder loading, solder paste inspection, and preventive maintenance to keep SMT lines running efficiently.
- Troubleshoot component placement issues, verify solder quality, and work closely with the production team to meet daily SMT build schedules in conjunction with Production Team Lead.
- Additional cross training opportunities may be:
- Assemble transducer sub-assemblies using written assembly procedures.
- Complete post-assembly cleaning and inspection of transducers.
- Prepare assemblies for post-inspection washing and operate the PCA wash process.
- Use written test procedures to functionally test PCAs.
- Prepare, serialize, and pack PCAs for shipping following standard processes.
- Ensuring all necessary shipping documents are accurately completed.
- Review packing slip for shipping instructions to create shipment electonically with designated carrier.
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying their contents against purchase orders or invoices.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate reorder needs to management.
